I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Austin and minored in Psychology after graduating Valedictorian from Wm. B. Travis High School. I was a member of The University of Texas Longhorn Band (piccolo) and currently a member of the University of Texas Longhorn Alumni Band. I have over 35 years of experience in the fitness and dance industry. I have taught classes in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, step, indoor cycling, weight training, kick-boxing, yoga, Pilates, gymnastics and baton twirling. I have had the wonderful pleasure of working with age groups from 6 years old up to adult seniors. I have danced professionally in the United States and Japan. I have performed on national television shows Merv Griffin Productions Dance Fever , Dick Clark Productions American Bandstand and P.M Magazine. I have performed in local commercials for Kara-Vel and Hit Stop Records and Tapes. I have been featured on KTBC News (dance) and KXAN News (bodybuilding). I have also been featured in local newspapers The American Statesman, The Austin Citizen, The Austin Herald, Motorola Inc., and The Westlake Picayunne Newspaper. I was a featured guest on the Cactus Pryor Show for three dance episodes. I won First Place in Mr.& Ms. All Natural Bodybuilding Championships Mixed Pairs. I was also featured in cabaret dance numbers for VIVA 2007 and 2008 Aids Services of Austin Fund Raisers. I am certified in Group Fitness and Personal Training through The Aerobics Fitness Association of America since 1985. I am a breast cancer survivor since 1989. I firmly believe that spirituality, regular exercise and healthy eating are hugely instrumental in making me strong. Strong in spirit, strong in mind and strong in body. My desire is to inspire and empower all of you.I am committed to utilizing my education and experience to pay it forward in empowering you to achieve wellness in a fun and exhilarating way!
